Single Subject Legal Courses

ILSPA's Single Subject Legal courses enable you to gain a Legal Secretary qualification by specialising in one area of law. Please take a look at ILSPA's Legal Secretaries Diploma if you want to gain our full qualification in various areas of law.

Coursework

There are no examinations for the courses. The subjects are assessed through coursework which you must send to us to be marked.

For the Foundation level, you are required to complete an online multiple-choice achievement test and practical assessments for your coursework. These involve the production of legal documents, forms and letters on your computer at home. Full instructions and examples are provided in the online course material to enable you to complete the coursework. You are required to create a portfolio of your assessments, which must be sent to our Course Assessor when you have completed the course.

For the Advanced level, you are required to complete an online multiple-choice achievement test and a written assignment. Your assignment will either include a series of questions relating to the area of law you have chosen or a scenario in which you are to advise on the correct legal proceedings. After studying the course, you will be able to show how in-depth your knowledge of law is and demonstrate your Paralegal skills.
