ILSPA's CPD Programme

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) enables members of professional organisations to expand their knowledge, hone their skills, and cultivate the personal qualities essential for career success.

We encourage Legal Secretaries and PAs to participate in our CPD program, specifically designed to acknowledge and support career advancement. By engaging in CPD, Legal Secretaries and PAs enhance both their professional capabilities and personal skills, elevating the quality of their work.

If you’re currently working as a Legal Secretary or PA, you’re invited to join our CPD program and earn a CPD Certificate in recognition of your growth.

CPD activities can encompass a range of experiences, from pursuing relevant courses to participating in job-related training programs, whether in-house or external.

How to Apply

Members are eligible to apply for a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certificate by demonstrating that they have completed at least 12 hours of CPD activities over the past year. CPD can encompass various professional growth opportunities, and we’ve outlined some qualifying examples below:

  • Enrolling on a course, either through in-person attendance or distance learning
  • Participating in a workshop or seminar
  • Contributing an article to ILSPA’s blog or another career-related publication
  • Engaging in self-study, such as reading books relevant to your career

These activities are designed to support your development, helping you stay informed, skilled, and engaged in your profession.
