Distance Learning - Online
ILSPA's Legal Secretaries Diploma course can be studied online via distance learning. You can start at any time of year and have the flexibility of studying at your own pace. The more time you dedicate to the course, the sooner you can complete it. On average, Students complete the course within six months, but some Students have been known to complete it much sooner. You are given a one-year deadline and are free to choose your own study hours.
Once enrolled, you will be able to access the course material, achievement tests, practical assessments and Student resources through the Student area of our website. You can then work through each unit in your own time. There are no examinations for the Legal Secretaries Diploma course. You are assessed through the online achievement tests and practical assessments which accompany each unit.
During your studies, you have access to help and support. We will provide you with your Course Assessor's contact details when you enrol. Your Course Assessor will be able to assist you with any queries that you have in respect of your coursework via email or telephone.
Live Classes - Online
You can attend ILSPA's Legal Secretaries Diploma course through live online classes. These take place one evening a week for 14 weeks via Zoom. Before the class starts, you will be sent the details by email so that you can access the online platform.
Through attending our live online classes, you will be taught about law and legal procedures, have the opportunity to interact with your tutor and learn with a group of Students. Your tutor will provide you with support and encouragement throughout your studies. Students regularly provide feedback on how much they have enjoyed the classes and have found our tutors to be friendly and helpful.
Alongside attending classes, you will need to set aside time to study and complete the online coursework each week. All the course material and Student resources are available through the Student area of our website. There are no examinations for the course. You are assessed through coursework which consists of multiple-choice achievement tests and practical assessments.
As well as receiving support from your tutor, you will be able to contact your Course Assessor for any help you need outside of class via email or telephone. We will provide you with your Course Assessor's contact details when you enrol.
Whether you study through distance learning or our live online classes, ILSPA's Legal Secretaries Diploma course is assessed through coursework. There are no examinations. The coursework consists of online multiple-choice achievement tests at the end of each unit and assessments for four units.
The multiple-choice achievement tests enable you to show your understanding of each subject studied. The practical assessments involve the production of legal forms, documents and letters. You do not need to have any experience to complete the coursework. Full instructions and examples are provided in the course material to enable you to complete them. Through completing the assessments, you will be able to show how well you are able to follow instructions, apply word processing skills to a variety of legal documents and become competent in Legal Secretary work.
You will be given a percentage for each achievement test and unit of practical assessments. An average percentage is taken from these results and you will be awarded a pass, merit or distinction, depending on the standard of your work. If you fail any part of the course, you will be given the opportunity to redo it once.
When you pass all the units included in the course, you will be awarded ILSPA’s Legal Secretaries Diploma Certificate. Our pass rate is very high with 95% of Students achieving the qualification after completing the course.
