Not only is this my dream job but this is a fantastic opportunity for me as they are very keen to train and develop their staff. The study material was more than adequate, and easy to use

I am writing to say how much I enjoyed this course. I felt I learnt so much in such a short space of time, not only relative and useful towards my professional career but also towards my personal life on a day to day basis. Seamus was an excellent tutor, with a great sense of humour. Although some of the topics were quite difficult to comprehend, he had the ability to make us understand by explaining everything simply and clearly, using an abundance of real life examples and in some cases his own personal experiences – everything was crystal clear by the end of each class. He always encouraged us all to actively participate in the lessons, by sharing and exchanging our thoughts and opinions, which often helped me look at things from a different perspective. The study material was more than adequate, and easy to use. A big thank you to everyone involved, for the support and confidence I was given, enabling me to persevere and complete the course. I would recommend the Institute to anyone without reservations.

I got the help I needed

I have thoroughly enjoyed doing the course and have learnt a lot which I am already using in my day to day life. I found the course material easy to follow and to understand and above all enjoyable to read. I just wanted to keep on reading and studying and was a bit disappointed when I finished. The only time I needed some clarification, it was handled well and I got the help I needed.

I would recommend the course to anyone

As a mature Secretary, I was asked if I would find the Diploma course worthwhile as I was not starting out on my career, but I have found it to be so, and I would say that for anyone entering the legal profession at whatever stage of their career it contains very valuable information. I now feel more confident should I need to work within our company on matters other than personal injury and I feel it has given me a good grounding should I consider undertaking a licensed Paralegal course or even studying the Criminal law single subject course. I would recommend the course to anyone.

I would recommend this course to anyone thinking of becoming a Legal Secretary

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the staff at The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs who were very helpful during my Legal Secretaries Diploma course. Also a Big Thank You to Amanda - an amazing tutor who so effortlessly explained the course material and who said that “the law can be dry if you allow it to be”. Amanda certainly did not allow any part of the course to be “dry”; instead she turned the whole experience into a very interesting journey. Personally this course definitely provided me with an excited ambition to become a highly qualified and efficient Legal Secretary and to build a successful career in this field. Everyone at ILSPA was very helpful, friendly and professional

I have truly enjoyed the course. It was well structured, and the information was presented to us in the right pace so it was possible to take it all in. Everyone at ILSPA was very helpful, friendly and professional, and Seamus was absolutely fantastic. He delivered the material in a very enthusiastic manner and with an excellent sense of humour, so the classes were not only very informative and useful, but also fun. Overall, I found the course very educational and feel more confident looking for work as a Legal Secretary. I am sure I will come across many challenges when I eventually get the desired role, however the course gave me a good foundation to build on and I would definitely recommend ILSPA to anyone looking for a Legal Secretary course.

It really makes a difference knowing that there is a team behind you

I wanted to let you know that after completing the Legal Secretarial Diploma I am about to start my first legal secretarial job. I had an interview earlier this week and they have agreed to take me on for a fortnight's work trial, which I am delighted about. It is primarily a legal aid firm specialising in criminal work and I feel I can learn a lot there. It also has the advantage of only being a couple of bus rides away from where I live and I won't have to venture underground at any point! Having completed the diploma I had the confidence to apply for the position, despite not having any experience in the field. I think having the diploma on my CV got me the interview, and showed them that I was serious about wanting a career in the legal field, as opposed to any old typing job. They also spoke about wanting somebody they could "develop", which could mean a paralegal career in the future. Thank you so much for your support throughout the course. It really makes a difference knowing that there is a team behind you. I'd like to carry on with my membership of the Institute and would have no hesitation in recommending the course to other people.

I would not have been offered the job if I had not done the Legal Secretaries course

I am delighted to be able to inform the Institute that I have successfully applied for a legal position in the social housing sector, at an organisation in Clapham, as a Legal Administrator/Paralegal. I am due to commence at the end of February. I will be supporting the Head of Legal Services and two solicitors, and have been promised that the role will be varied and very interesting, with the opportunity to regularly attend Court. Not only is the job £4,000 more than what I am currently earning, it is also nearer to where I live. I know I would not have been offered the job if I had not done the Legal Secretaries course.
