Seamus was just fantastic as a lecturer

I really did not know what to expect from this course when I first enrolled but I am so glad that I did. It provides you with an in-depth knowledge of the units covered and is not only really interesting but challenging too. Seamus was just fantastic as a lecturer, really personable, receptive and knowledgeable, and made the course extremely enjoyable and made learning fun. I have been a Legal PA for a number of years and this course still provided me with information and procedures I did not know. I thoroughly and highly recommend this course to anyone considering it. ILSPA are really supportive and respond in a timely manner to all queries no matter how small. So to sum all, great course to undertake, fantastic tutor and amazing support all round.

My boss has appreciated that my quality of work has improved

The ILSPA course has been very informative and helpful to me. The way this course has been put together is so organised and clear, that it has helped me absorb different areas of law easily. Ms Maria Richards has been wonderful and helpful. There was a time when I was concerned about the current Covid-19 situation and the lockdown interfering with my studies, but Ms Richards promptly emailed me back and assured me that I can still complete my coursework and she will be available to extend her helping hand, if needed. I felt relieved and was able to complete my coursework before the deadline successfully. The practical assessments have improved my attention to detail skills and I have gained some very valuable tips that I could apply at my workplace. My boss has appreciated that my quality of work has improved. I feel confident and like an asset to my organisation.

An exceedingly enjoyable, mentally stimulating course

An exceedingly enjoyable, mentally stimulating course to have study. I have immensely enjoyed it particularly when having had a baby in-between my studies, and still managed to have completed the full duration of the course at a distance learning pace was exceptionally a rewarding experience for me. The Course Assessor Maria Richards was exceptionally wonderful and helpful at all times. I can only hope to have done my daughter proud that I have accomplished the full duration of the course, and I look forward to commencing a new journey with confidence within the Conveyancing legal sector as a Legal Secretary.

The experience has been wholly worthwhile

I have really enjoyed the course. The sessions with Seamus have been great and the support and assistance from Maria has been thorough and efficient. The course does everything it advertises. It provides a good overview of some of the major points of law whilst also providing a useful volume of practical exercises which genuinely make a difference. The difference between the first and most recent letter I have typed in speed and accuracy is noticeable. Overall, the experience has been wholly worthwhile. The provision of a year's membership to ILSPA as part of enrolment is much appreciated - having completed the course in six months I now look forward to utilising the careers and CV support elements to the membership which I cannot comment on but have heard great things about from other students.

The whole course felt like a real gift

I found the ILSPA course harder than I expected. At first, I was surprised it wasn't more 'academic', but then I was impressed that it was so practical. I was really impressed that it was so detailed. I've been wanting to take an introductory course in Law for ages (having the time to do so has been one of the few good things about being furloughed!) and I feel as if the course has given me a good insight into law and the legal profession. I honestly don't know if I'll seek employment as a legal secretary - but I feel that what I've learned on this course will be an asset in any job and I'm definitely going to explore the legal profession now. Everyone should take it, I think, just to understand the way our world works a little bit better! I was really daunted by the extent of the practical assessments at first glance, but when I got into them, I really appreciated how carefully and thoroughly they were structured. Massive thanks to Maria Richards for answering all of my questions so promptly and carefully. I feel I have been a bit of an irregular student, because of my other responsibilities but you have been so patient and helpful. The whole course felt like a real gift, a labour of love from someone, so much nicer than some courses I've done which have felt quite impersonal and all about meeting a random standard that wasn't explained. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with ILSPA. Thank you.

Overall my experience of the ILSPA course has been an enjoyable and challenging one. The course was detailed throughout with lots of information and explanation but was still easy to understand. This has really helped me develop my understanding of the legal sector in which I work. I have enjoyed completing the course and loved the tasks under each area of law.

The Legal Secretary Diploma course has enabled me to develop my knowledge in the comfort of my own home, at my own speed. Despite the distant learning, my course assessor never failed to answer any queries I had, not only this but I never waited more than 24 hours for a response. I believe it is important to gain different experiences and qualifications as a student to boost career prospects so gaining this qualification is incredibly advantageous. I had a chance to practice my MS Office skills
