From the first stages of enrolment to the very last portfolio form I've found the online learning experience very easy to follow

I had been thinking of changing career for a while as I've been in my current job for over ten years and was finding it less than challenging. I decided I would like to go into the legal sector and so began researching Secretaries online. ILSPA came up time and time again so I bit the bullet and enrolled. From the first stages of enrolment to the very last portfolio form I've found the online learning experience very easy to follow. I've picked up and put it down with ease working through the units at my own pace, as I am a full time working mum. I had to email ILSPA a couple of times and had a response within 24 hours, every month receiving emails with informative information as well. I certainly won't hesitate to have a look at specialising in one area now, moving on in my change of career.

The evening class was well organised

The evening class was well organised. The course material was easily accessible. Our tutor, Seamus Ryan, has a really good teaching technique and he explains so that everyone will understand even if you have no legal knowledge.

I found the course so interesting and engaging. The evening classes were so enjoyable. I enjoyed learning about different types of law. I had a genuine excitement to learn something new each week

I have really enjoyed studying this course, the law has really captured my interest and I am eager to use and develop my new skills in a legal environment. I would highly recommend the Legal Secretaries Diploma course to anyone with an interest in the field of Law

The course has been challenging with lots of information to take in and learn. However, I have really enjoyed it and feel it has been beneficial to gain some work experience at a local solicitors whilst I have studied. I enjoyed learning and developing my skills and knowledge with ILSPA. ILSPA has given structure to my learning and I hope to advance my career. Also, ILSPA’s use of PowerPoints, home learning and guided tutorials was very helpful when completing and understanding the course material. I had a very good experience from attending this course

I joined the course as I have been always enthusiastic about the different areas of law – not to change my career only to learn the topic. With help of a great tutor and materials provided by ILSPA I gained knowledge and learned something new I may find useful in daily life. I found the course extremely interesting and it has been useful to cover all aspects of law

I found the course extremely interesting and it has been useful to cover all aspects of law. After leaving the banking industry after 36 years in January 2016, I secured my first Legal Secretary role with a Residential Conveyancing team at a local law firm. Having had little previous experience in conveyancing, undertaking this Diploma has helped me to understand the process and terminology. Having the same ILSPA personal assessor marking your tests and answering any queries also worked well for me rather than dealing with lots of different people.

I would recommend this Diploma to anyone who wishes to develop their career as a Legal Secretary

I decided to undertake this Diploma despite having nearly 7 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary. As a Fellowship Member of The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs, I wanted to expand my skills and knowledge and learn more about the different areas of legal practice, enabling me to move to a different, more enjoyable area of law.
