I enjoyed the course as it gave me a chance to explore different areas of a field I already work in

I enjoyed the course as it gave me a chance to explore different areas of a field I already work in. I also felt it was good to have a better insight into the legal world and the procedures therein. I enjoyed the modules and the order I did them in and I felt the assessments, especially the practical assessments, became more challenging as I progressed through the course which kept it interesting. 

I now feel more confident in pursuing a career as a Legal Secretary

I have found the course very easy to access and navigate. I like that the tests are multiple choice. Having had no prior experience or exposure in legal work I now feel more confident in pursuing a career as a Legal Secretary. I found the written assessments where you have to explain your understanding of things particularly helpful as having to explain in my own words really made me think about what I had learnt.

My course lecturer, Seamus Ryan, was an excellent teacher, helpful and encouraging

The course was perfect for my needs as I am in full time employment. One night a week was manageable with work and home life. The course work was at times a challenge time-wise but also manageable. My course lecturer, Seamus Ryan, was an excellent teacher, helpful and encouraging. We had a class of 30 students but it worked well, a good group of people. I also took the Royal Courts of Justice tour with Amanda Hamilton. It was great to see the law in action. The tour is worth doing.

I have really enjoyed the course. I have found all course materials supplied easy to read and understand. I particularly enjoyed the tour of the Royal Courts of Justice in London. 

I have already started to make use of the knowledge I have learnt on the course in my job and makes it all come together.

The course was great and taught me so many things I never thought I'd understand. It made me grow more and made me use legal knowledge on a daily basis. This course helped me to become more independent and taught me enough for me to gain a career in the legal field! IT was amazing I enjoyed every single part of it and I must say I'm upset it has come to an end! But I will continue to study with the course material as each unit has taught me so much about each area of law; on how it works and couldn't get more descriptive! I've certainly learnt a huge amount from this very practical and comprehensive course, which covers very important aspects of law - ones that one comes across in day-to-day life. Whether it is for pleasure or professional reasons that anyone is considering undertaking this course, I would definitely say "GO FOR IT!" The ILSPA staff are extremely approachable and helpful; one gets the feeling that they all want their students to succeed, and I personally really appreciated that. Completing the course gives one a sense of achievement and confidence, which I think is very important not just for now but also the future.
