We have a wide range of Students - from those who have no previous experience in law to experienced Legal Secretaries who want to gain a formal qualification. We also have law graduates who study our course to gain practical skills and get their foot in the door. ILSPA's Students are based in the UK and around the world in places such as Dubai, Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.

I had always wanted to get certified and it was my dream to complete this Diploma!

The course was absolutely brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed learning in my own time and at my own pace. I decided to do the course after the covid pandemic whilst being a full time Mum and preparing myself to go back to securing employment after a seven year gap. I had worked as an experienced (not yet qualified) Legal Secretary and I had always wanted to get certified and it was my dream to complete this Diploma! The course was laid out in a structured way and it was engaging throughout. I felt as though I got a great understanding of the key concepts of each unit and the assessments were a great selection. I have learned a lot of vital practical skills

My experience with the course has been great and I have learned a lot of vital practical skills that were not taught at university. I took the course to gain employment in the legal sector and to also aid my law degree.

Maria (course tutor) was always at hand every time I had a question

Currently working as a medical secretary, I wanted an insight on how legal secretarial differs from my current role and I am pleasantly surprised of how interesting this field is. I have never studied online before and was a bit nervous, but because I had the willingness, I found it to be very interesting and Maria (course tutor) was always at hand every time I had a question, she was proactive in answering and guiding me. Definitely worth doing this course as I have a background knowledge of the legal world and because I found all the subjects interesting, I can pursue a career in this field in the near future.

I would recommend this course to others

I had a very positive experience on the Legal Secretary course. The course materials were detailed and the example forms that were given helped me to gain a better understanding of what was expected for the assessments. Additionally, the Course Assessor, Maria, was very supportive and quick to offer guidance when I contacted her with any questions or needed clarification about the course, which helped me a lot. I would recommend this course to others.
