Leigh Day is urgently seeking a Legal Secretary, to assist a Partner and the team within our Clinical Negligence department. The successful applicant will hold a responsible position providing secretarial and litigation support to the Partner.

The role involves typing documents (digital and copy), filing, managing diaries, arranging meetings and conferences, liaising with clients, experts, counsel and other solicitors, preparing and checking bundles and dealing with other general administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will be reliable, organised and have fast and accurate typing skills together with excellent administrative skills. The ideal candidate will be computer literate with up-to-date word and excel skills, together with good standard of spoken and written English. Candidates should be able to show initiative and have a positive “can do” attitude. Strong organisational and communication skills are required, together with relevant legal and secretarial experience. Candidates should be able to deal with clients in a sympathetic and compassionate manner and demonstrate a commitment to doing so.
