The Costs Department sees a range of cases, from straightforward Personal Injury cases to complex actions in the High Court and even higher. The field of legal costs litigation is a growing specialism in its own right and often requires analysis of intricate legal arguments. You will join a growing team, providing support to assist with the recovery of legal costs for the firm.
The successful candidate will undertake administration duties including the preparation of legal documents such as court claim forms, assisting with cash collection and processing payments and bills. The role will involve providing administrative support to fee earners within the department, and liaising with defendant insurers and solicitors. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritise, have good IT work processing skills, be an excellent communicator and be numerate. You must have an eye for detail and possess the ability to be organised and methodical whilst working under pressure. Above all the ability to work as part of a busy team is essential. Legal experience is not essential as full training will be given.
