Legal Secretary/Receptionist

An opportunity has arisen to gain excellent receptionist and legal secretary experience in Alen-Buckley LLP Solicitors, a modern and well-connected law firm in Wandsworth, with a supportive environment that promotes professional development.

Receptionist Role

  • Ensuring the reception area and meeting room is kept presentable at all times
  • Greeting clients and other visitors
  • Answering the telephone in a polite manner, redirecting and taking action as appropriate
  • Monitoring the general email inbox, forwarding and taking action as appropriate
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing post
  • Diary management of the main calendar and meeting room calendar
  • Ordering stationary and kitchen supplies
  • Assisting the office manager with general tasks

Secretarial Role

  • Acting as a float-secretary, proactivelysupporting the conveyancing, litigation and private client departments’ secretaries and providing cover when they are off
  • Assisting the senior partner’s secretary with her workload

Secretarial work will consist of:-

  • Filing and e-filing of emails
  • Audio dictation and copy typing of correspondence and other documents
  • General administrative tasks such as copying, scanning and filing
  • Speaking to clients and other parties on behalf of solicitors
  • File opening procedures
  • Billing and creating other financial statements
  • Engrossing deeds and other legal documents
  • File closure and storage procedures

  • Ability to simultaneously juggle different projects and work
