Owen Reed is looking for an experienced and dedicated Personal Assistant to support a Family Office, providing comprehensive assistance across personal and executive affairs. Primarily based in the UK, this opportunity would suit a proactive and highly organised professional with experience supporting a Family Office, ultra-high-net-worth individuals or C-level executives.

You will manage complex schedules, coordinate travel and act as a trusted point of contact for family members and key stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate discretion, sound judgement and a resourceful approach, ensuring personal and professional commitments run smoothly.

This dynamic role offers scope to develop your career, with the potential to progress into a Chief of Staff position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex diaries, coordinating meetings, appointments and personal commitments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and gatekeeper for the Family Office, handling communications professionally and discreetly.
  • Remain accessible around the clock to provide remote assistance and occasional out-of-hours support.
  • Organise domestic and international travel, including flights, cars, accommodation and detailed itineraries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with family members, business associates, advisers and other key stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive personal and business information with complete confidentiality.
  • Anticipate potential issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Draft and proofread reports, emails and other correspondence.
  • Plan and coordinate personal events and engagements.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the efficient management of personal and executive affairs.

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as a Personal or Executive Assistant.
  • A strong educational background, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a degree or higher from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Experience supporting a Family Office, high-net-worth individuals or C-level executives.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with family members and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Apple devices, including MacBook, iPhone and iPad, alongside Microsoft Office and calendar management tools.
  • A discreet, adaptable and proactive approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A loyal, hardworking and resilient character, combining clear thinking with a logical approach to implementing tasks.
  • Flexibility for international travel and out-of-hours availability.
