Evening Legal Secretary

Our leading US law firm client is seeking an Evening Legal Secretary.  This role requires someone to be in the office 5 days per week and includes a paid taxi home – the successful candidate will provide secretarial and document production service to all legal and support personnel within the London office.

Evening Legal Secretary Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide timely and accurate word processing of text, data and graphic files to lawyers, trainees and other personnel, utilising an advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Create documents via scanner, new input or conversion, including heavy document clean ups and editing using styles and Innova.
  • Input, format, and revise documents according to lawyer instructions and the firm’s guidelines.
  • Create flow charts, tables, tables of contents and indexes, with the ability to create and edit documents in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Carry out thorough proof reading and quality checks on all completed work.
  • Amend and edit Adobe PDF files and convert documents to Word where required.

Evening Legal Secretary Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ previous secretarial or document production experience.
  • Experience working with large volumes of documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, Visio and Paint.net, with training provided where needed.
  • Ability to guide, advise and instruct colleagues on the use on in-house styles and formatting.
