My client is looking for a float secretary who has experience within family law.  The hours are 9.30am-5.30pm and they do offer 3 days in the office/2 days from home after probation.  
The individual will perform a broad range of secretarial and administrative support to fee earners and have the ability to step into a role at short notice and must have first class Family law experience.
This position requires knowledge of legal terminology, procedures and applicable technology and involves typing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and presentations using various software.
In addition you will be required to maintain physical and electronic files, including opening, closing, and archiving.
You will also be required to assist with case management systems, conflict checks, and billing tasks.

  • Manage diaries and schedules for fee earners
  • Have the ability to use own initiative to adapt, and think laterally
  • Confident with the ability to work with all levels of fee earners
  • Handle admin tasks such as scanning, faxing, printing, binding, and photocopying
  • The ability to pick up unfamiliar work quickly and be proactive
  • Self-motivated and goal focused, you will enjoy change and variety, and thrive under pressure
  • Technically advanced in Microsoft Office also Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience of SOS Connect, BigHand or Diktamen, Nuance/Kofax and iManage would be advantageous, although training will be given
  • Self-motivated and able to organise own work with minimum supervision
  • Good time management, adopting a flexible approach to work.
  • Demonstrates persistence and commitment to completing tasks and objectives.
  • Delivers work output to the required standard.  Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others and is seen as ‘approachable’.
  • Operates effectively as part of a team.
  • Willing to offer help to other colleagues to ensure efficient running of the department
