We are seeking a friendly and professional Legal Secretary to work with our Senior Solicitor in our Wills and Probate team at the Oxford Office of Hine Solicitors.

We are flexible as to hours, and would consider a job share for suitable candidates.

Main Duties for Legal Secretary;

  • Providing administrative assistance such as initiating new files, generating documents, organising filing systems, retrieving files, photocopying, managing emails, and handling postal matters
  • Keyboarding both standard and specialised letters
  • Creating documents using relevant precedents and templates to precisely capture instructions from fee earners
  • Engaging with clients via phone and in-person to address inquiries
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Assisting with the monthly billing cycles
  • Performing additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

1. Professional attitude and appearance.

2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

3. Hands-on experience with office equipment

4. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

5. Excellent organisational skills.

6. Customer service attitude with the ability to interact with clients in a respectful and friendly manner.

7. Work experience as a Legal Secretary would be advantageous but not essential.
