A brand new and exciting position has opened for a highly motivated Trade Mark Paralegal to join the ranks of our globally renowned clients. This particular firm is truly a group of intellectual property specialists.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn how a global law firm operates and enhance their knowledge in the sector of intellectual property, all whilst being surrounded by a talented and hardworking Trademark team that will see your understanding of IP taken to the next level.

General requirements:

• Be able to work well in a team
• Preferably some sort of trade mark experience at a previous firm
• Outstanding written English and Grammar
• Ambitious and always looking to provide the best possible customer service
• Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tasks
• Understanding of UKIPO, EUIPO and WIPO is important
• CITMA paralegal qualification would be a bonus but not essential  

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with clients and giving them excellent service
• Actively liaising with lawyers/attorneys over the status of trade mark applications and oppositions
• Handling, reviewing and interpreting correspondence from trademark registries and overseas lawyers, including docketing of any important deadlines
• Engaging with other paralegal staff
• Pro-actively managing renewals and maintenance requirements, including requesting instructions from clients, and filing renewal applications
• Diary management
• Assist in responding to client queries
