A great opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary/PA to continue their development at one of the best performing US firms in the City.

Salary - £50,000

Hybrid - 3/2

Location - St Paul's

Working as an integral part of the team, this role sits within the firm's much heralded Corporate Transactions and Real Estate Finance. With a fixed allocation of 5 Partners (don't worry, you won't be pulled from pillar to post!) this role is busy but gratifying, providing a high degree of involvement for the individual and a great team ethic amongst the employees.

Based within reach of the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral, the surrounding area is simply stunning. It also offers a good mixture of shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and those little pockets of tranquillity that the City of London does so well.

Duties will include:

  • Manage lawyers' Outlook calendars
  • Make travel arrangements and complete travel and expense reports
  • Schedule meetings, reserve rooms, coordinate video or audio equipment, and order food
  • Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages, establish conference calls and use voice mail
  • Handle written and electronic correspondence, including editing, adjusting language or terminology and correcting grammar where appropriate
  • Liaise with clients
  • Investigates and responds to client requests, including organising and sending materials to clients
  • Prepare client bills and associated cover letters
  • Prepare new matter reports and update list of client/matter codes
  • Maintains and processes client billing for principals, directly or indirectly.
  • Maintain lawyers' time entries in Carpe Diem
  • Monitor professional development requirements
  • Use MS Office in preparation of documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Maintain document filing
  • Utilise iManage document management system for all documents
  • Delegates appropriate admin tasks to the Admin team, such as time recording, expenses, etc.

Previous experience within a law firm is a necessity, ideally a US one too. As for Legal knowledge, a good understanding of Finance or Corporate Transactions would be beneficial, however, solid Corporate or Litigation backgrounds can be considered as your skills are very much transferable.
