Prestigious international law firm based in stunning offices near Tower Bridge are looking to hire a new Junior Legal Secretary on an initial 12 Month contract basis to join their busy Commercial Disputes team which mainly deals with Litigious claims and Disputes for Commercial clients. Previous experience in a commercial or litigation team would be advantageous but not essential. The role will be supporting other Legal Secretaries in the department and will work with Lawyers of all levels. This role offers remote working should the candidate be keen to do so plus a competitive salary plus great benefits. The firm operated a generous hybrid working pattern of 2 days in the office and the rest from home.

Responsibilities of the Junior Legal Secretary will include assisting other Secretaries in the team with diary management using own initiative to arrange meetings and conference calls and liaising with other secretaries/external clients, comprehensive e-mail management – checking, prioritising and summarising e-mails on a daily basis and dealing with correspondence where necessary, collating documentation for meetings and circulating agendas in advance; carrying out research as may be required, booking video/conference calls, meeting rooms and required refreshments, and making lunch and dinner reservations, being responsible for assistance of financial management and billing for clients, drafting/typing of confidential matters for Partners, carrying out PDF to Word conversions and vice versa, printing of agendas, presentations and meetings papers for Partners/Fee-Earners and which are not of sufficient size to be sent to Reprographics, production of short, less complex PowerPoint presentations as may be required, proof-reading of all documents to ensure the delivery of work of the highest quality, attending team meetings and taking minutes as required, involvement in committees and steering groups relating to secretarial/administrative support/processes for the wider firm. 

Candidates will ideally have some experience working within a legal team before and be familiar with office software. The Junior Legal Secretary will also need strong communication and organisational skills and a keen, ready to learn attitude.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm.
