I am currently recruiting for a multi service law firm in Sheffild as the Residential Conveyancing Department has a requirement for an Assistant Conveyancer to join the team. Daily responsibilities will include managing day to day operational duties and proactively progressing the Conveyancing case load, communicating with clients effectively on their property transactions. Providing a client centric service when conducting property transactions in accordance with the relevant statutory and regulatory framework and in accordance with best Conveyancing practice.
Department and Team:
The Residential Conveyancing Department presently consists of 15 teams across 5 offices who deal with the full range residential property services predominantly to individual clients.
Key result areas:
Providing excellent client service in line with our departmental standards, procedures and guidelines.
Building effective relationships with clients both internally and externally.
Ability to work independently as well as with team members.
Ability to assist in generation of fees.
Manage sale files from start to finish
Checking mortgage offers
Deal with property matters from exchange to conclusion, maximising fees through efficiency.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to meet KPI's including number and accuracy of clients and matters opened
Desirable Skills and Competence:
Experience of working in a solicitor's practice in a similar role.
Fast and accurate typing with a minimum speed of 40 wpm.
Ability to input information quickly and accurately
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Aim Evolution accounting package.
Knowledge of OMS document management.
Candidates will need to demonstrate good administrative IT skills and have an eye for detail and accuracy.
The successful candidate will be professional, reliable and hardworking.
