We are a small organisation comprising 2 separate companies, 20 employees approx, based in Hammersmith.
Anglo French Adjusters Ltd represents a large number of European Insurance companies for the handling of their cross-border motor claims. When a policyholder has a motor accident in GB or a motor accident in Europe, but against an English driver, we will defend the insurance company and their policyholder’s interests against any claim presented by the other driver, or we will recover our client’s losses from the other driver’s insurers. If the claim for whatever reason has to go to court then the file is then handed to our in-house solicitors, Pierre Thomas and Partners.
The role we are looking to fill is that of audio-typist, receptionist and administrative assistant for AFA Ltd and Pierre Thomas and Partners

The person we are looking for needs to be flexible and enthusiastic. Whilst the speed of their actual typing may not be critical, their ability to work efficiently and swiftly will be, as there is a lot to get through every day. Experience of audio typing is important, as the technical vocabulary we use and the fact that French is not the mother tongue of most of the people who dictate will be sufficiently challenging without the difficulty of being a novice at audio-typing. The candidates also need to be at ease using Microsoft based products and databases. Experience in a legal environment is an advantage. Experience in personal injury litigation, all the more so. An eye for detail and accuracy and organisational skills are important, as is the ability to work under pressure.
