Jazz Personnel have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our client, a highly reputable firm, who continuously provide a high-quality service with a very personal touch, based in Derby.
Duties;
- Receive and sort incoming mail
- Attend Post Office to process outgoing mail
- Greet clients and visitors, prepare refreshments
- Take card payments from clients
- Arrange meetings, book conference rooms and manage fee-earners’ electronic diaries
- Receive and direct telephone calls, take messages and pass on in a timely manner
- Respond to client queries in a helpful and courteous manner ensuring the client experiences the highest quality of service possible
- Ensure confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients’ documentation and information
- File management including daily filing, opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
- Updating and maintaining client information on internal database
- Request cheques, bank transfers and pay in cheques received
- Photocopying, printing and other administration duties
- Ensure tidy work area at all times
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Audio typing to a high standard
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with those at all levels
- Computer literate, including proficiency in MS Office, word and excel
- Able to maintain a high level of presentation and accuracy
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
- Strong organisational skills and keen to learn
- Able to integrate well into a team
- Able to keep track of key dates
