Our client based in the central of Bristol has a need for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Commercial team on a Full Time, Permanent basis. This firm has a number of UK offices and it's Commercial team are looking for additional support with Secretarial and Administrative duties. 

Candidates with at least two years Legal Secretary experience are encouraged to apply, although all departmental knowledge will be considered. This role will offer support a number of individuals but we are told that some fee earners are quite self sufficient and won't need as much support as others.

Day to day duties will include: 

  • Accurately transcribe audio dictation
  • Copy type from draft documents
  • Produce documents in a professional and accurate manner
  • Maintain a filing system 
  • Open new files when needed
  • Close files in accordance with archiving procedures
  • Support other secretaries with workloads
  • Provide secretarial support to all fee earners
  • Diary Management 
  • Arrange outgoing mail
  • Deal with incoming calls from clients and other fee earners
  • Monitor e-mail inboxes if fee earners are absent, forwarding urgent e-mails to the appropriate person
  • Arrange meeting rooms for client visits, ensuring that refreshments have been ordered

Applicants must have previous legal experience, the ability to pick up case management systems quickly, have a good audio typing speed, enjoy working with others and act professionally at all times. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9am-5.15pm. This is a great company to work for who offer excellent training, progression and company culture.
