The July edition of DEDICATED - The Legal Secretary Journal is now available online.

We love interviewing our Graduates, especially when they can provide inspiration to our Students by telling us how they are excelling in their careers. It gave us great pleasure to revisit a former Student of ours who has taken further steps in her legal career. Melinda Toth, who we last spoke to in 2018, has recently secured a Solicitor Apprenticeship with her firm while working as a Legal Secretary.

If you are currently working as a Legal PA, we have a useful article for you on how to set boundaries in order to prevent overstretching yourself. This was contributed by Lewis College who are experts in this arena as they have been training PAs for almost 40 years.

We also take a look at the possible abolition of leasehold legal estate in Land Law. A must-read if you have studied Land Law or you are working in this area. Many believe that a reform is needed, however, we are yet to see whether this is the best option.

Finally, ILSPA partner, Secsinthecity returns to talk about the benefits of keeping your CV updated. When that dream new position comes up, you want to be ready to send off your CV. Updating any new skills as and when you acquire them ensures that you spend less time looking back and more time pursuing future goals.
