Alongside attending classes, you will need to set aside some time to study and complete coursework at home each week. This is called blended learning. All the course material and resources which support the class are available online through our website. The classes run for 14 weeks, however you can take up to one year to submit your coursework if you wish. During the course, you can receive help from your tutor, your Course Assessor and you can also telephone us to speak to a member of our team.

ILSPA's Legal Secretaries Diploma course is equivalent to a level 3 qualification. It will teach you about the day to day tasks of a Legal Secretary, various areas of law, the legal profession and how the court system operates. Court Tour: Students have the option to go on a tour of the Royal Courts of Justice in London, which takes place once a month.

Learners are required to have administrative or secretarial skills with a good typing speed, computer literacy, a good understanding of Microsoft Word, and a good standard of spoken and written English. If you need to acquire any of these skills, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
There are no examinations for the Legal Secretaries Diploma course. You are assessed by way of multiple-choice achievement tests and practical assessments.
You are required to complete a multiple-choice achievement test after each unit to show your understanding of law. This is done online through the Student area of our website rather than in class. Through blended learning, you will be studying the course material supporting the classes and completing the tests in your own time.
Units 3, 4, 5 & 6 include practical assessments which involve the production of a variety of legal forms and documents commonly found in legal practice. This will be done on your computer at home as there is no use of computers in class. Full instructions and examples are provided in the course material to enable you to complete the coursework. Through completing the assessments, you will advance your word processing skills and show how well you are able to follow instructions. You are required to print your coursework and create a portfolio of your assessments which must be sent to our Course Assessor when you have completed the course.
Your portfolio will be marked and sent back to you within 21 days with your results. If you have passed the course, you will be awarded ILSPA’s Legal Secretaries Diploma Certificate. Our pass rate is very high and 95% of Students who complete their coursework achieve the qualification.
Results are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction - depending on the standard of your coursework. If you fail any part of the course, you will have the opportunity to redo it.
The Student area of our website includes everything you need for the course. Once enrolled, you will be able to access the course material, achievement tests, practical assessments and Student resources. ILSPA's course is complete in itself and you do not need to purchase any textbooks.
Our Student resources are very useful. Guidance on how to stay focused and motivated during your studies will help you to complete the course successfully. Evening Class Course Fees
If you would like to pay by instalments we can set up an interest free payment plan for you. We accept a 10% deposit with the balance of the course fee payable over 6 months.
Evening Class Payment Plan: £70 + 6 monthly instalments of £105.
