The Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs was founded in 1990 to promote the excellence and professional recognition of Legal Secretaries and PAs. We are a professional organisation with Students and Members throughout the UK and overseas.
The Institute provides training for
those wanting to qualify and work as Legal Secretaries or PAs and we
offer excellent services which help our Members with their careers.
Training
The Institute provides Legal Secretary training through our Legal Secretaries Diploma course. This is a recognised qualification and will provide you with the legal knowledge and skills you need in order to work as a Legal Secretary or PA.
Our course can be studied by evening class in London. We also offer a Distance Learning course which can be studied from home and started at any time. ............
Membership
We help our Members to find work, keep them up to date with new law and legal issues, encourage professional and personal development, provide them with professional status and make them feel like they are part of a community.
Members have access to an exclusive area on our website which contains career advice, details of recruitment companies, our Jobs Board, the latest legal news, a legal wiki for research and a forum.
Recruitment
Members of the Institute can find work through our Recruitment section. We have partnerships with recruitment agencies who have Legal Secretary and PA positions throughout the country and there is a Jobs Board where the latest vacancies are posted. Our Career Guidance Manual can be downloaded to help you find work, write your CV and attend interviews. Legal Secretaries and PAs are in great demand.
