Ascent, one of the UK’s largest and foremost law firms is currently looking to recruit a highly skilled Paralegal within their specialist debt recovery agency. This is a busy, demanding, yet highly rewarding role, where duties are diverse and no two days are the same. You would proactively progress cases on the Commercial & Unsecured Litigation team, undertaking both complex admin work and supporting with debt recovery case-handling duties on behalf of clients. Tasks will include compiling witness statements, completing court documentation and handling client queries via email or telephone. Ensuring all relevant processes and procedures are followed and that all work undertaken is in line with service level agreements.

 

The Candidate

The role will suit an adaptable, reliable and self-motived individual with legal admin experience, degree or equivalent experience. LPC/FILEX qualified (desirable). Commercial litigation experience and knowledge of CPR roles will be required, while a background working in a legal capacity within a financial services environment would be an advantage.

 You will be a well organised administrator, able to multitask and prioritise a workload effectively, with strong communication skills plus excellent attention to detail. You’ll be experienced in following set guidelines and processes, but with the ability and confidence to use your own judgement where required.
